Project under the Roads and Highway Department
Nexus is currently conducting the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Land Acquisition Plan (LAP), Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), and Utility Service Plan (USP) under the project titled “EIA, LAP, RAP & USP Study for the Proposed 9th China–Bangladesh Friendship Boga Bridge Project over the Lohalia River at 14th km of the Lebukhali–Bauphal–Golachipa–Amragachia Road under the Patuakhali Road Division.
ESIA Study for the Laldia Container Terminal Project
ESIA Study for the Laldia Container Terminal Project is proposed on the west bank of the Karnaphuli River at Laldia Char, East Patenga, Chattogram, about 3.5 km from the Bay of Bengal and 9 km downstream of Chattogram Port. We are conducting the socio-economic survey, social and environmental impact assessment, and stakeholder engagement to establish a concise, gender-responsive baseline of social and economic conditions within the Project’s Area of Influence (AoI) to support the ESIA and assess potential impacts, risks, and mitigation measures. The survey will be conducted in compliance with the requirements of the Department of Environment and aligned with the International Finance Corporation. We have been working for Haskoning and the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) since January 2026.
Ongoing Project with the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE)
Nexus is currently implementing land acquisition and resettlement activities under a DPHE project covering eight cluster towns: Cumilla, Laksham, Hajiganj, and Chandpur (Cluster A), and Pabna, Ishwardi, Gopalpur, and Natore (Cluster B). As part of this assignment, our responsibilities include conducting socio-economic surveys, asset inventories, stakeholder consultations, and supporting land acquisition and resettlement processes in accordance with applicable safeguard requirements. In addition, since April 2026, we have been conducting social surveys and implementing social assistance programs for the Khagrachari Paurashava under the same project. The assignment involves community engagement, identification and assessment of affected persons, awareness-raising activities, and facilitating the delivery of project support and assistance measures to ensure the well-being of affected communities.
Ongoing Project with Chittogram WASA
Nexus is currently working in collaboration with DevCon Consultant Ltd and SUEZ International on behalf of Chattogram WASA to conduct Public Consultations and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) for the verification of Project Affected Persons (PAPs) and the updating of the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for the Halishahar Sewage Treatment Plant (Areas 1, 5, and 6). Our scope of work includes updating the RAP in alignment with the approved Development Project Proposal (DPP), reviewing and collecting relevant documents from affected households, conducting awareness-raising activities, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and supporting the implementation of Project Assistance Programs for affected persons. Through these activities, we aim to ensure effective communication, transparent consultation processes, and the delivery of appropriate support measures to project-affected communities May 2026.
Project under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED)
This bridge is part of the Bridge Development Program under the Local Bridge Support Project. Nexus Resources Development Ltd., in cooperation with the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM), is conducting the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for this structure.
